Discounts

A student shall enjoy only one type of discount or scholarship except when he/she avails of a cash discount.

    1. Academic Discounts

      • A hundred percent (100%) tuition fee discount shall be granted to a high school valedictorian for the first regular term in college.
      • A fifty percent (50%) tuition fee discount shall be granted to a high school salutatorian for the first regular term in college.


    2. Family Discount

      • A twenty-five percent (25%) tuition fee discount shall be granted to one with the lesser tuition fee of two brothers/sisters enrolled in Saint Columban College.
      • A fifty percent (50%) tuition fee discount shall be granted to one with the least tuition fee of three brothers/sisters enrolled in Saint Columban College.
      • A hundred percent (100%) tuition fee discount shall be granted to one with the least tuition fee of four brothers/sisters enrolled in Saint Columban College.


    3. Special Grants

      • A ten percent (10%) tuition fee shall be granted to students who pay in full during enrollment period and up to the first day of classes.

      • A ten percent (10%) tuition fee shall be granted to a fresh high school graduate in any Diocesan schools of Pagadian for the first regular term in college.

      • The ROTC Battalion Commander shall be granted free of the following during the regular semester only:
        1. Tuition fee for 21 units;
        2. Matriculation fee; and
        3. Selected miscellaneous fees (Library, medical/dental, athletics, guidance services and audio/visual fees)

      • The following Editorial Staff of The Harp shall be given special grants during the regular semester, provided that a publication is produced every semester:

        1. Editor-in-Chief is free from the following fees:
          1. Tuition fee for nine units
          2. Matriculation fee; and
          3. 3. Selected miscellaneous fees (Library, medical/dental, athletics, guidance services and audio/visual fees)
        2. The Literary Editor, News Editor, Feature Editor and Layout Editor shall be granted six (6) units tuition fee discount.

      • The GRAND STUDENT COUNCIL officers are granted tuition fee discount to be determined by the Vice-President for Finance and divided equally among the qualified GRANSCIL officers holding key positions in the student body as recommended by the DSA.

      • A patronage discount of five percent (5%) on tuition fee shall be granted to Graduate School student who recruited a new student to enroll in the Graduate Program. A Graduate School student may have a maximum of two recruits per semester of which he/she shall be granted five percent (5%) on tuition.

      • A ten percent (10%) tuition fee discount shall be granted to teachers enrolled in Master’s degree in education.

      • A twenty-five percent (25%) discount shall be granted to seminarians of Holy Infant Seminary.

      • The CULTURE AND ARTS PERFORMERS are granted tuition fee discount to be determined by the Vice-President for Finance to the qualified performance as per recommendation of CAO Coordinator.

      • An 18-units tuition fee discount per semester shall be granted to deserving student who will be identified and sponsored by the SCC Alumni Association.


    4. Group Study Program (GSP)

    The GSP is grounded on the idea that students can study better if they group among themselves and cultivate healthy relationship as they strive to finish their chosen course. The GSP grants the following tuition fee discount to students who avail of the program:

      • Class “D” - Group of three (3) new students. . . 25% Group Discount
      • Class “C” -Group of four (4) new students. . . 50% Group Discount
      • Class “B” - Group of five (5) new students. . . . 75% Group Discount
      • Class “A” – Group of six (6) new students. . . . 100% Group Discount
      • Class “C” -Group of four (4) new students. . . 50% Group Discount
      • Class “D-I” –Group of two (2) old students & one (1) transferee. . . 25% Group Discounts
      • Class “C-I” – Group of three (3) old students & one (1) transferee. . . 50% Group Discounts
      • Class “B-1” – Group of three (3) old students & two (2) transferees. . . 75% Group Discounts
      • Class “A-1”- Group of four (4) old students & three (3) transferees. . . 100% Group Discounts


    5. Students-On-Grant (SG)s. The SGs shall be free of the following:

      • Tuition fee for 18 units during the regular semester and 6 units for summer;
      • Matriculation fee;
      • Selected miscellaneous fees (library, medical/dental, athletic, guidance and audio-visual fees); and
      • Laboratory fee for one subject with the least amount during the regular semester.


    6. Grants-in-aid. Tuition and/or general-fee grants are given on a yearly basis to students who meet the following criteria:wing:

      • Demonstrable financial need;
      • Admission score at least 2.5 GPA;
      • Very good evaluation and/or substantial contribution to Saint Columban College community;
      • Exemplary behavior;
      • Completion of the specified service hours in the assigned office and/or rooms in school;
      • Passed the examination given by the Guidance Office.

      • Note: Grantees of financial aid are expected to render certain hours of service each semester to the college. The service is structured to assist the college staff particularly during the critical periods of registration, examinations, graduation, and others. It is directly under the supervision of the General Services Office, or an office designated by the Vice President for Administration.
