HIMAMAT 2016: BEFRIENDING IN BOHO VIBE

By: Hazel Louise J. Albacite

Around your forehead a crown,

Toss into your clothes some brown;

Handkerchiefs or scarves,

Footwear’s either boots or flats.

Non-conforming, Individualistic, and Free-spirited aura was exuded as the SCC community from College and Senior High School Department congregated at the Quadrangle for this year’s Acquaintance Party last July 20.

Dubbed also as ‘Himamat’ which means to acquaint, meet, or know personally; the annual affair characterized Bohemian Fashion with the theme: ”Hinigala-ay, Magkahiusahay, Mag-alagaray sa Tiunay nga Paagi”.

The activity was day-long – Holy Mass and short program at 7-9 AM, and Booth Hopping featuring Isla Boho, SYBITE, Bohoderia, Paint Me, and SO-THIAE at 10AM.

At night, everyone ramped with their costumes carefully put together in a creative way. Also, the evening episode was highlighted with delectable dance numbers from the Senior High School; the 3 College Departments: CBE, CTEAS, and CCS; and the Staff and Administration.

The event ended early since the collegiate campus catered already SHS students who needed to be early in their classes the next day.

Finally, that friendly flair favored some who were able to form friendship in different facets.
