Another milestone was witnessed as SCC’s School President, Fr. Gilbert M. Hingone, STL, celebrated his 30th Sacerdotal Anniversary last June 7, at the Diocesan Parish Church (DPC), Pagadian City.

In a night of songs, dances, and messages dedicated to the celebrant, Fr. Hingone could not help but smile most of the time. The evident happiness on his face was genuine – one would think he might couple it with joyous sparkling tears. But there was not any teardrop. Fr. Hingone was rather calm and composed; he cracked a joke that everyone should go home early and hinted that the program was intended to be short in the first place. Heartily, he thanked the following: SCC faculty, staff, and students; a few friends and acquaintances; and close family members; for being part of this memorable moment in his life.

And it was worth coming to. The persons in the room proved their love and support for the one whose humility and thoughtfulness becomes SCC’s beacon all these years.
