Squad Zen4, composed of Kent Daligdig, Ysl Ron Hepos, Reymak Lapaz, and Jan Philip Juntado from the College of Computing Studies (CCS), Saint Columban College (SCC), toppled 13 other squad teams in the recently concluded HackforGov Cyber Challenge 2023 hosted by the Department of Information and Technology on September 08, 2023, at the LM Metro Hotel in Zamboanga City as they emerged the strongest squad from Zamboanga Peninsula and Basilan, Sulu, and Tawi-Tawi (BaSulTa) regions. Mr. Siryl Glein Turno Flores from CCS was the winning coach of Zen4 Squad.
The other two squads who secured their spots as the top performing squads were SELECT Sibugay Technical Institute Incorporated as the first runner-up and Unit 418, Ateneo de Zamboanga University, settled for the 2nd Runner-up. Team zen4 will now advance to the Hack for Gold4 Finals in the National Level Competition in Metro Manila and represent the ZamPen & BaSulTa Regions.
The said competition was to showcase the exceptional cybersecurity skills and knowledge of the various team squads from various prestigious schools in ZamPen and Basulta.
